EXPECTED OPENING
SPRING 2025
Located just north of the city of Pordenone (Italy) at the Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico technology center, the PL SPACE CENTER is an advanced astronomical observatory equipped with cutting-edge telescopes developed by PrimaLuceLab. This facility is designed not only for space research but also as a hub to inspire exploration of the universe by connecting groundbreaking technology with the public, educators, and companies worldwide.
THE INSTRUMENTS AT PL SPACE CENTER
INTREPID 500-12 ground station is a 5-meter diameter system built for space communication in the S and X radio bands, enabling capturing artificial radio signals from deep-space probes and satellites.
The SPIDER 300A MarkII radio telescope comes with a 3-meter diameter antenna and is specifically designed for 1420 MHz radio astronomy education and outreach.
Coming in Spring 2025, the DUAL-PRO Observatory Station features a 3-meter diameter dome with dual telescopes for astrophotography, astronomy studies, & satellite imaging.
WHY WE CREATED THE PL SPACE CENTER
At PrimaLuceLab, we are driven by a passion for space exploration & the advancement of astronomical technologies. The PL SPACE CENTER showcases the culmination of our efforts, featuring state-of-the-art telescopes & ground stations. Our goal is twofold: to demonstrate our world-class technology to customers and researchers globally, and to engage future generations of astronomers and scientists that would like to learn how to use PrimaLuceLab instruments. Whether you are a potential collaborator or an educator, the PL SPACE CENTER is your gateway to the stars.
HOW TO VISIT
PL SPACE CENTER
Do you want to visit? PL SPACE CENTER is not a public location and it’s not always open so, if you want to visit, you are requested to register. Registrations will be available after public opening, starting Spring 2025. This is how to:
The PL SPACE CENTER is more than just an observatory; it’s a destination for anyone curious about space. If the PL SPACE CENTER is not in use for other activities, we may host events where visitors can engage with the cosmos through our advanced telescopes. Whether it’s viewing the craters of the Moon through our DUAL-PRO Observatory Station, learning about radio astronomy with the SPIDER 300A MarkII or detecting satellite or space probe signals with INTREPID 500-12, our events are designed to educate and inspire.
You cannot visit the PL SPACE CENTER unless you registered to an EVENT. You can also contact us to info@primalucelab.com to ask for more informations.
